Why participate at IFMAC?

IFMAC will set the scene to unite many of the industry’s most respected companies and individuals to reap the benefits that result from:

Positive Market Outlook
Worldwide furniture market is likely to see a 3% to 4% increase in global furniture consumption, according to global furniture research firm The Centre of Industrial Studies. This rise in demand is expected to continue into 2014 and 2015 with 4.2% and 4.4%, respectively.

Global Potential
Indonesia’s Ministry of Trade reports that Indonesian furniture exports have increased from US$1.38 billion in 2011 to US$1.4 billion in 2012. However, with the worldwide furniture market estimated at US$122 billion in 2012, this means Indonesian-made furniture only accounted for 2% of the global trade. And as the Asean Economic Community (AEC) is set to commence in 2015, Indonesia, especially Java, is destined to be the Asean furniture capital.

High Quality Products Wanted
The Association of Indonesian Furniture and Handicraft Industry (Asmindo) reports that although the first semester of 2013 shows a decrease in domestic furniture production, there is an increase of 4% in export value to $164 million. This is due to the shift in the nature of buyers that prefer to buy high quality products, made by well-managed companies that carry advanced equipment.s
